We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Unit Manager to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our healthcare leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the activities, workflow, and nursing resources of assigned nursing units.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit.
- Conduct hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
- Monitor and adhere to budget, approving or monitoring expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition Compact State.
- 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience.
