ASun Star is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Summer Camp Director to join our team. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and manage all camp programs, approving all activities and assisting in hiring staff members. Effective communication with parents, guardians, counselors, and staff is essential before, during, and after the summer camp.

The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensuring the health, safety, welfare, and enjoyment of participants. This includes developing policies and procedures in conjunction with the Program Manager, organizing participants for daily activities, and coordinating camp activities and curriculum construction.

Responsibilities include managing, training, and developing all camp staff, interns, and transportation activities. The Summer Camp Director will also plan and conduct staff training, facilitating ongoing meetings and necessary trainings. Additionally, they will monitor staff timesheets and complete payroll for summer camp staff.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include project management, leadership and supervisory skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience running a summer camp is also essential.
