This is a dynamic role within CHRISTUS Health, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in patient care. As a Pharmacy Technician I Certified, you will work under the direction of Clinical Pharmacists to provide pharmacy services with compassion, excellence, and efficiency.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Key responsibilities include performing non-judgmental technical duties under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, preparing drug orders according to established policies, verifying computerized patient medication records accurately, and maintaining accurate and complete patient drug records.

- Perform non-judgmental technical duties under the direct supervision of a pharmacist
- Prepare drug orders according to established policies
- Verify computerized patient medication records accurately
- Maintain accurate and complete patient drug records
- Compound non-sterile pharmaceuticals
- Provide services efficiently and in a timely fashion
- Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and institutional policies
- Verify the daily activities of the department are complete and recorded
- Maintain competency required for current job title/position
- Ensure applicable CE records and licensure are maintained in department files
- Attend staff meetings
To be considered for this role, you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and be at least 18 years old. Prior pharmacy experience is preferred, and you must hold a Registered Pharmacy technician license in the State of practice and be certified as a pharmacy technician. The work schedule is TBD, and the work type is full-time.
We offer a competitive salary of $40,000-$50,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
