Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Specialist to join our team at Digirad Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting sophisticated medical equipment to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport medical equipment to customer locations in a safe and timely manner
  • Maintain the maintenance of the truck and trailer, including regular inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Assist technologists with various duties, including transporting patients from the facility to the mobile unit and back (for drivers with patient contact)
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
  • Comply with safety and quality procedures and initiatives, including strict adherence to safety policies and rules
Requirements
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CDL required
  • CPR, Hepatitis B, and TB certification (for drivers with patient contact)
  • Ability to access job-related internet websites and review online documentation
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level is moderate, and the employee must be able to lift and move equipment as needed.
