We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at UMC Health System. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients from the operating room to the recovery area.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and Plan Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Implement and Evaluate Care: Implement care plans and evaluate their effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses, to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
- Provide Education and Support: Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and provide emotional support to help them cope with their recovery.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensure: Valid Texas RN License or Eligible Compact License.
- Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: PACU or ICU experience required. BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire. CPAN certification preferred.
