Job Title: Production Scheduler

At Schweid & Sons, we are seeking a highly skilled Production Scheduler to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and establishing production schedules for all products processed at our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement production schedules based on product requirements and sales orders.
  • Manage raw material orders and inventory levels to ensure efficient production.
  • Monitor production progress and make necessary adjustments to schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with production teams and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Optimize profitability by managing trim and ground beef operations.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and data management within our systems.
  • Meet customer fill rate targets and provide corrective action when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the Meat or Food Industry preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of production planning, material management, and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and technical skills.
  • Ability to forecast, act quickly, and accurately.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented.
Work Environment:

The work environment will include wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud when in the production area.
