Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified Professor to join our esteemed faculty at Loma Linda University Medical Center. As a Professor, you will be responsible for teaching, research, and service. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission, policies, and standards of our institution and will be expected to perform other duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Earned doctorate (or equivalent) from an accredited institution, preferably with a focus in the area of scholarship.
  • Post-doctoral experience (or equivalent) is encouraged.
  • Minimum five years of successful teaching experience as an Associate Professor with an emphasis in the area of scholarly focus.
  • Functions in a leadership capacity in the area of expertise.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations.
  • Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective, and positive manner.
  • Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position as well as Canvas and Banner.
  • Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.

Licensures and Certifications: Professional certification, licensure, or registration as appropriate.
