We are actively seeking a Vice President of MEP for our Edison office. Recently, our parent company consolidated a portion of the highly skilled workforce from our various offices in the Northeast, creating a more efficient and cost-effective team to better serve our clients. The LiRo Group is a large firm with multiple offices across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that all project efforts are executed in a logical sequence and within budget, addressing conflicts and challenges as they arise.
- Guarantee that the firm adheres to established technical and performance standards.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and the firm, fostering strong client relationships.
- Develop and mentor design and technical support staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Monitor staffing levels and resource utilization in relation to approved budgets and project activity, taking necessary actions to ensure projects are adequately staffed and performance is evaluated.
- Oversee project teams' collaboration with other disciplines and subcontractors on multi-discipline projects.
- Prepare project cost reports and adjust project programming to align with budget constraints.
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals and presentations across the firm's service offerings.
- Actively cultivate and maintain client relationships, following up on potential leads.
- Engage in business development initiatives and efforts.
- Support client relationship management through meetings, inquiries, and problem resolution.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to enhance and lead the MEP group.
- Utilize engineering and design software to complete assigned tasks (e.g., Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD).
- 15+ years of relevant experience in MEP engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer license required; ability to obtain a New Jersey PE.
- Proficient in the design and management of MEP engineering, with comprehensive knowledge of the design process from proposal through construction.
- Experience with public facilities projects.
- Healthcare project experience is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of New Jersey Building Codes.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and leadership skills at the project level with clients and team members.
- Experienced in AutoCAD and Revit.
