Maintenance Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Stoughton Area School District. This is a part-time position working on weekends, and we offer a competitive salary of $20.60 per hour, plus an additional $0.35 night differential when applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the physical facilities to provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient learning environment.
• Assist with snow removal, set up and take down equipment for events, and perform various cleaning tasks.
• Clean buildings and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, to maintain a neat and clean appearance.
• Monitor heating and air conditioning systems, open and close campus buildings, and operate and maintain custodial equipment.
• Restock disposable items, maintain proper inventory of custodial supplies, and identify and implement security procedures.

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members.
• Must be able to work independently in various environmental situations, including inside and outside building spaces.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Physical Demands:

• Constantly bend, push, pull, lift, walk, squat, reach, and stair climb to perform essential job functions.
• Frequently lift 11-50 pounds and occasionally lift over 50 pounds.
