Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care/Telemetry Complex at Riverside Health System, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will work under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Director, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients. Your ability to communicate effectively, think critically, and make sound decisions will be essential in creating a care plan for each patient based on their physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs by applying standards of practice related to the specialty or patient population served in the Critical Care/Telemetry units/departments.
• Partner with patients and families to develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care, treatments, and procedures that contribute to the physiological and psychosocial outcomes of the patient.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency to facilitate patient throughput, ensuring patients receive consistent, competent, and ethical care. Focus on quality outcomes of patient care when addressing customer needs, including current evidence-based practice and quality measures.
• Educate patients and families by individualizing and coordinating patient education, and discharge-specific education that includes family/caregiver. Evaluate for patient comprehension and document.
• Accurately complete all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks appropriately to facilitate quality patient care and ensure patient care needs are met.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Education (Required)
• 1 year ED Registered Nurse Experience (required)
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Department of Health Professions (Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
