Job Summary

This position plays a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to pediatric patients. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic radiography imaging tests, ensuring optimal results in accordance with established standards and procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, identifying and troubleshooting malfunctions, and reporting service needs and preventive maintenance issues as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform diagnostic radiography imaging tests as prescribed by physicians and providers, determining proper techniques to ensure optimal results.
  2. Perform finalizing functions, including limited coding using radiology information system (RIS) to provide timely and accurate patient information and charge capture.
  3. Maintain professional and technical competency through ongoing knowledge and self-improvement, staying apprised of current literature, practices, and new developments in diagnostic imaging.
  4. Provide diagnostic radiography safety information to patients, families, and affected parties to ensure thorough understanding of procedure protocols.
  5. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
