Job Summary:
NEXGENS is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Line Worker to join our team. As an Assembly Line Worker, you will be responsible for assembling various components to build furniture items according to specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly: Assemble various components to build furniture items according to specifications and quality standards.
- Material Handling: Move raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products within the manufacturing facility using manual or powered equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
- Quality Control: Inspect furniture pieces for defects, damages, or imperfections and report any issues to supervisors. Ensure that the final products meet quality standards.
- Machine Operation: Operate machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process, such as saws, drills, sanders, and other power tools. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Packaging: Pack finished furniture items for shipping, making sure they are properly protected to prevent damage during transportation.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep work areas clean and organized. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, including supervisors, machine operators, and quality control personnel, to ensure smooth production processes.
- Adherence to Safety Procedures: Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Efficiency and Productivity: Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines. Identify and suggest improvements to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Flexibility: Be willing to perform various tasks as needed, adapting to changes in production demands or processes.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production progress, issues, and any other relevant information.
- Physical Stamina: Possess the physical stamina and strength to handle manual labor tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly line environment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
