Responsibilities:- Presents a professional demeanor and appearance, providing accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers.
- Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other healthcare team members, maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
- Coordinates and monitors patient care to ensure patient safety, ensuring appropriate assignment of care based on staff competency and patient acuity.
- Collects, analyzes, and organizes patient care data for the unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversees staff scheduling, documentation, and timekeeping, ensuring accurate completion of daily charges and adherence to unit and PCS guidelines.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives, supporting staff in incorporating evidence-based practices and research findings into patient care.
- Collaborates with educators and managers to ensure effective orientation and training of new staff, promoting a culture of collective accountability and continuous improvement.
- 3 years of RN experience
- Licensed RN in the State of Illinois
- Telemetry competency
- Specialty certification within 2 years
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
