Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Med Surg

eTeam Inc is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Med Surg to join our team in Salinas, California.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to work in a Med Surg setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individualized care in a patient care area according to departmental policies and procedures and Nurse Practice Act.
  • Develop a plan of care based on the assessment of the patient, age appropriate and developmental needs of the patient.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other health team members in developing a plan of care.
  • Provide, delegate, and coordinate the plan of care.
  • Initiate, manage, and participate in discharge planning.
  • Initiate, manage, and participate in patient/family teaching.
  • Evaluate and update patient's response to plan of care.
  • Maintain professional standards by participating in inservices, committees, and performance improvement activities.
  • Facilitate physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual care of the patient.
  • Utilize positive communication skills to effect conflict resolution and team work.
  • Contribute to cost effective patient care by monitoring use of time, equipment, and supplies.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures in order to provide a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one (1) year Clinical Registered Nurse experience preferred in specialty areas.
  • Current California RN license - Required
  • Current ACLS, PALS, BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards - Required
  • PACU experience and ability to do Phase I and Phase II recoveries, get readies, and PAT.
