About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Liberty. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial transactions, as well as providing financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and record financial transactions in our financial system, adhering to our monthly book closing schedule and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) policies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of our monthly financial reporting package, including journal entries and account analysis.
  • Perform GL account reconciliations and prepare regulatory reports.
  • Provide guidance to field operations on account coding of expenses and support internal units, including utility operations, regulatory and pricing, customer service, procurement, and administrative levels.
  • Provide analysis of financial information for users and offer solutions to business issues, embracing change as an essential component of performance.
  • Complete special projects as needed, such as support for internal, external, and regulatory audits, and supporting regulatory and rate case filings.
  • Prepare quarterly cash flow statement and balance sheet analytics, adhering to ICFR policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree/Associates Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Work experience in the Utility industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles required.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel.
  • Understanding of regulatory accounting a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information and recognize significant variances, trends, and irregularities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and think through effective and efficient solutions.
