Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at The Falcon Group. As a key member of our site development team, you will be responsible for conducting site evaluations, preparing design documents, and managing site/civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site evaluations and prepare investigation reports to identify potential site development opportunities.
  • Prepare design documents, including construction drawings, bid documents, and technical specifications, for site/civil projects such as stormwater/drainage, asphalt or concrete pavement, grading/topography, MSE wall, or other related site features.
  • Record field measurements and perform civil engineering calculations related to site/civil projects.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for site/civil projects.
  • Represent clients in obtaining and evaluating bids, and awarding construction contracts.
  • Manage site/civil construction projects, including monitoring contractors' work for conformance to project construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Review and approve change orders, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of local and state building codes, and ability to apply to work.
  • Familiarity with local jurisdictional permitting processes and requirements for site/civil project impacts, such as wetlands, land disturbance, E&S control, pervious/impervious drainage, etc.
  • Collect post-project feedback to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years' minimum experience required in Engineering, Construction Management, and/or a combination of related education and experience.
  • Experience with site/civil work, including stormwater/drainage, asphalt and concrete pavement, grading/topography, MSE wall, or other related site features.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
  • OSHA 10 hour certified preferred, otherwise must complete within three months from date of hire, fees covered by Company.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an unrestricted valid Driver's License.

  • AutoCAD proficiency.
  • Ability to work individually or with team members and work collaboratively with other disciplines.
  • Ability to work in the field and to travel outside local areas as required.
