Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented 1st Shift General Assembler to join our team at Michelin. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and production of Michelin parts and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manually assemble production parts using provided machines and tooling.
  • Practice safe work habits and adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of standard work instructions and how they apply to specific responsibilities.
  • Follow accurate verbal and written procedures in operating production equipment and performing processing steps; accurately complete appropriate production documentation.
  • Identify, escalate, and document events that deviate from normal operation; participate as needed in investigations.
  • Assist with training for less experienced personnel.
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical operations.
  • Interact with other support functions such as Quality and Maintenance.
  • Utilize manufacturing knowledge to improve process operations and affect positive change.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations of the places where we conduct business, as well as our Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of operational area (5S).
  • Operating knowledge of assigned equipment.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other departments.
  • Overtime will be required from time to time, and this may require weekends.
  • Support the EMS, QMS & H&S systems.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Education and Experience

We are looking for candidates with a High School Diploma/G.E.D. and 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices is a plus.

  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
