SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer is a seasoned professional role that necessitates a minimum of 3 years of experience in areas such as Electronic Components, Battery Assemblies, Configuration Management, Supplier Oversight, Auditing, Inspection Techniques (including non-destructive testing, electronics, and mechanical), or Manufacturing Operations.

Key responsibilities encompass the establishment of quality benchmarks, assessment of materials, equipment, processes, and products, as well as the development of quality control systems and plans, conducting process FMEA, and identifying corrective measures.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 Standard or IATF 16949 is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are fundamental to the role but are not exhaustive and may include additional responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and establish quality assurance testing models for evaluating raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods.
- Execute in-process audits in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Formulate Quality Control Plans for Fuel Cell and Battery Assemblies.
- Develop and enforce quality control policies while assessing production constraints.
- Implement and oversee corrective actions, solutions, and enhancements.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Investigate and resolve product or production challenges.
- Ensure compliance of workflows, processes, and products with safety regulations.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, serving as the primary liaison.
- Engage in the Root Cause and Corrective Action process throughout its lifecycle.
- Assist with the RMA process.
- Work alongside the Quality Manager to partner with operations managers in creating and executing controls and improvements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications are necessary for this position:
- Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electronics, or Engineering.
- Over 3 years in a progressive Quality Engineering role.
- Previous experience in supporting the design, establishment, and execution of a Quality Management System (QMS).
- Knowledge and experience with aerospace standards AS9100 and/or ISO-9001, along with their general practices.
- Familiarity with calibration processes and documentation.
- Exceptional skills in interfacing with both internal and external customers.
- Proven collaboration abilities and capacity to influence outcomes.
- Demonstrated capability to lead complex projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient understanding of ESD requirements and practices.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic inspection processes.
- Familiarity with Ground Support Equipment (GSE) systems and related equipment.
- ASQ certification as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or higher.
- Certifications in J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610.
- Understanding of Hybrid or Standard Battery Construction and Assembly.
