We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nurse to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a Surgical ICU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.
Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses with patient assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
- Perform various nursing care activities, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and patient education.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
- Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient safety and quality of care.
- Currently enrolled in a pre-licensure MSN, BSN, or ADN program.
- Passing grade in Fundamentals/Foundations of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Weekend, shift work, and on-call rotations may be required.
- Exposure to patients with infectious diseases may be present.
