Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant

At Washington Regional Medical Center, we are seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care while performing at home visits and completing all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and chart observations of the patient's condition at each visit
  • Complete evaluation tasks, including reviewing vital signs
  • Complete written reports on patients in a timely manner
  • Provide thorough education for patients and families on proper home health care procedures and strategies
  • Coordinate care with members of the patient's care team
  • Recommend resources that may improve the quality of life for the patient and assist patient in maintaining their independence as is relates to CNA standards and responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal hygiene and basic care needs in a timely and safe manner
  • Observe patients for emotional, behavioral, and/or physical changes and report changes to appropriate case manager
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED and Certified Nursing Assistant program, required.
  • Licensure and Certifications: Certified nursing assistant and CPR, required. Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance, required. Fingerprints every 5 years, required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of CNA experience, preferred.
Work Environment:

This position will spend 60% of time standing and/or walking short distances while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 40% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. Frequent local travel required. This position has exposure to communicable disease, body fluids, and radiation.
