Position Overview
This role involves 12-hour shifts, three days a week, ideally suited for candidates with Charge RN experience. The focus will be on General Medical, Surgical, and Telemetry patients, including those undergoing general surgery, neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, and bariatrics.
Patient Care Responsibilities
May require floating to the PCU to provide care for Med/Surg patients. Patient-to-nurse ratios are:
Days - 1:5, Nights - 1:6.
Essential Skills
The candidate must possess the ability to monitor, read, and interpret telemetry strips, intervening appropriately in response to changes or dysrhythmias. Responsibilities include assessing the patient, notifying the physician, and initiating a rapid response as necessary.
Job Requirements
1+ years of recent experience in Med/Surg nursing.
Current BLS certification is required.
Schedule Information
Shifts consist of 12 hours, three days a week, focusing on unit-specific care for General Medical, Surgical, and Telemetry patients.
Additional Information
All candidates must be fully available for any compliance requirements prior to their start date.
