Job Title: Deco/Printer Mechanic

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Deco/Printer Mechanic to join our team in Nichols, NY. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating high-speed printers, training and assisting other operators, and ensuring the quality of our products.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate high-speed printers and perform label design changeover setups
  • Inspect printers for quality defects and perform preventative maintenance assignments
  • Perform hourly quality control checks to ensure printer and related equipment is within specifications
  • Audit printer applications to ensure SOP specifications are met
  • Analyze spoilage, record causes, and take corrective actions where applicable
  • Monitor equipment or processes and report all problems to supervision
  • Follow all SOP operating procedures and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of working experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong proven working experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting skills, and equipment re-build expertise
  • Experience in using controls and settings on high-speed automated equipment
  • High competency in the use of micrometers, calipers, and related equipment
  • Strong math and computer skills
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications
  • Effective and proven communication skills working in a team environment
