Iowa City Hospice Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Physician to provide medical care and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Provide medical care and treatment to patients with life-limiting illnesses, managing symptoms and providing pain relief as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure their needs are being met.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Document patient care and progress in medical records.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is preferred.
- Valid medical license in Iowa.
- 3-5 years of experience in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is preferred.
- Special consideration for bilingual applicants.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
