Job Summary

OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Pathology Assistant to join our team. As a Pathology Assistant, you will play a critical role in the processing of laboratory specimens, working closely with our team of pathologists and medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process laboratory specimens, including case accessioning, gross description, and sampling of tissue specimens.
  • Perform evisceration and prosection of autopsies, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Work under different levels of supervision based on activity, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in your work.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Anatomic Pathologist Assistant program.
  • Board certified Pathology Assistant (ASCP) certification.
  • 1-2 years of grossing experience preferred.
Work Environment

As a Pathology Assistant at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, you will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, handling various specimens and working closely with our team of medical professionals. You will be required to wear red scrubs and use the EPIC EMR system.
