Position Highlights:
This role may qualify for a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment.

Job Overview
The Laboratory Quality Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Quality Management Services of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with various regulatory and accrediting bodies. Responsibilities include generating statistical reports, overseeing quality assurance initiatives, and managing accreditation and certification processes. Collaborating closely with the Medical Director, this position aids the Quality Management Systems Manager and the AVP of the Clinical Laboratory in the comprehensive administration of laboratory quality operations, including audits and cooperation with hospital-wide quality assurance programs.
Qualifications and Experience
- An Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution is required.
- A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a clinical laboratory setting is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel (including graphing and charting), along with database management skills is essential.
- Familiarity with Quality Management/Quality Improvement principles and Lean Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
- Experience in project management is advantageous.
Certification and Licensure
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from ASCP or an equivalent body is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license is required, and the candidate must be insurable under Avera Health's automobile liability insurance policy.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Full-Time; 80 hours per two weeks
Compensation
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $24.75 to $37.00, depending on experience.
