About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Mortgage Closer/Funder to join our team at Orlando Credit Union. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing residential lending closing documentation, ordering funds, issuing funding authorization, following up on needed items, shipping collateral, and purchasing RE (Residential Lending) correspondent loans. They will also work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of loan funds, and will be responsible for final balancing of the wire with title and escrow companies prior to requesting the funds.

This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and balance closing documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with settlement agents to confirm fees and balances.
  • Prepare and review loan closing packages and paperwork.
  • Act as an intermediary between all parties involved in mortgage loan transactions.
  • Review files to ensure outstanding conditions are met by or at closing.
  • Ensure all required documents are accurate and complete.
  • Prepare funding requirements for title companies.
  • Confirm wire amounts with title and escrow companies and request funds from warehouse banks.
  • Review final Closing Disclosure for accuracy and provide updates to members.
  • Provide funding authorization to closing tables and follow up post-closing to ensure proper recording and receipt of documents.
  • Complete forms and checklists required by investors in a timely manner.
  • Notify departments of file deficiencies and respond to missing documentation requests.
