As a seasoned Financial Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our financial internal control systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing actionable recommendations to management.
Key Responsibilities:- Audit internal organizations to determine the effectiveness of financial internal control systems.
- Examine records to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws, agreements, and policies.
- Prepare audit and executive reports of findings and recommendations to management.
- Support divisions and subsidiaries in evaluating and recommending improvements to business practices, processes, and control procedures.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, outstanding organizational and analytical skills, as well as a strong customer service orientation.
- Promote value and recommendations including efficiency, best-practice initiatives, and cost-savings opportunities.
- Demonstrate high standards of conduct and ethics as well as ability to use appropriate judgment and discretion.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Ability to obtain professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or CMA within 2 years of hire.
- Familiarity with industry practices and standards, including strong knowledge of reporting platforms and audit tools.
- Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel up to 25% and deploy overseas on short notice for extended work assignments.
- Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a DOD clearance.
