Job Summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Associate Vice President to lead our Water/Wastewater team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, from research to construction, and ensuring the technical and professional development of our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the design and technical aspects of multiple projects, including detailed engineering design, calculations, report writing, permitting, and presentations to clients and public agencies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of engineers and technical professionals, providing on-the-job training and ensuring the development of core competencies.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials, and community leaders, ensuring effective communication and project delivery.
  • Business Development: Participate in the development of company design and production standards, and actively engage in professional associations and civic organizations to build partnerships within the community.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university, Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of Texas, or ability to acquire registration within 6 months, and a minimum of 10 years of experience managing water and wastewater personnel.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience managing water and wastewater personnel, and 15 years of experience in potable water and wastewater design.
  • Skills: Proven ability to effectively communicate, both oral and written skills, and proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, municipal utility districts, public agency officials, and community leaders.
