Qualifications:
- Preferred: One year of experience in Radiation Therapy
- Education compliant with state regulations
- Possession of California State License & National License
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy
- Administer and oversee prescribed radiation therapy courses to patients utilizing various treatment methods. Gather patient history, address inquiries, and clarify procedures; monitor patients for any unexpected reactions during treatment and accurately document all relevant information.
- Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, while focusing on continuous quality improvement and safety standards.
- Position patients appropriately for treatment and accurately document simulation parameters.
- Coordinate patient treatment schedules; collaborate with physicists at the start of treatment; consult with supportive care physicians, nurses, and other personnel as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with billing procedures.
- Conduct and document daily Quality Assurance activities.
- Perform simulations as required.
- Provide emotional support to patients when needed.
- Maintain necessary licensing and certification.
- Execute other job-related tasks as assigned.
