Key Responsibilities:
This position involves a deep dive into Strike and Missile Defense (MD) system simulations and analyses. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acquiring a comprehensive understanding of MD system functionalities, scientific principles, technologies, and operational processes;
- Converting interceptor, radar, and battle management concepts into simulation parameters;
- Assisting in the upkeep and operation of simulation software;
- Producing outputs to facilitate analytical products;
- Crafting MATLAB models that encompass algorithms, optimization strategies, hit-to-kill physics, and data processing;
- Collaborating in a fast-paced, high-volume, and technically demanding small team setting;
- Navigating both LINUX and Windows operating systems.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance, with the capability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance;
- Proficient in MATLAB;
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document work effectively;
- Experience in complex technical assignments requiring advanced mathematical modeling and algorithm development;
- Proven track record in supporting technical tasks, including coordinating analytic efforts across various locations and presenting findings to senior leadership;
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
- Active TS Clearance;
- Proficient in C++ or other contemporary programming languages;
- Familiarity with missile defense systems, C2BMC, and sensor technologies;
- Knowledge of missile defense threats;
- Experience with AFSIM and STK;
- Background in high-fidelity missile defense modeling and integration;
- Experience in physics-based radar modeling;
- Proficient in GIT/Software Configuration Management;
- Familiarity with Machine Learning techniques;
- Advanced technical degree.
Work Environment: This position requires onsite full-time work at a designated facility. Lockheed Martin promotes a variety of flexible work schedules to enhance work-life balance, including standard 40-hour weeks and condensed schedules.
