Nutrition Services Specialist - Dietitian I

PeaceHealth is seeking a skilled Nutrition Services Specialist - Dietitian I to join our team. As a key member of our nutrition care team, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of nutrition care, consulting with other healthcare professionals as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate nutrition care services, including nutrition assessment, identification of nutritional diagnosis, implementation of appropriate nutrition intervention, and formulation of patient-specific goals.
  • Provide nutrition education to patients and families in the outpatient and/or inpatient settings, using evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines.
  • Consult with other healthcare providers and participate in the interdisciplinary team, using evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines.
  • Document in the EMR in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Make referrals to other services, agencies, and community resources as needed.
  • Contribute to Quality/Process Improvement measures within the department and throughout the hospital.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree that meets Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) requirements.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a related setting as a Registered Dietitian.
  • Current licensure/certification as required by State.
  • Registered Dietitian or registration eligible (must pass the Registration Exam 90 days).
