Position Summary:

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating various machinery, trucks, and tractors for street and utility maintenance, repairs, and facility construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate pickup trucks and various machinery including skid steers, backhoes, loaders, and tractors for street maintenance, utility repairs, snow removal, and construction tasks.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external guests.
  • Monitor equipment performance and promptly address any issues, communicating effectively with supervisors and management.
  • Utilize light equipment such as shovels, rakes, backpack blowers, weed whips, power brooms, and other hand tools.
  • Conduct routine traffic control to ensure safe traffic flow.
  • Assist with street maintenance, waste management, recycling initiatives, and support for special events.
  • Participate in required training sessions for the role.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record - mandatory.
  • High school diploma or equivalent - mandatory.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English - mandatory.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs - mandatory.
  • Capable of working outdoors in an alpine setting.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $25.51 per hour. This range reflects the expected compensation for this role, with individual pay determined by various factors.
