Position Purpose:
As a driver for food and food service delivery, you play a pivotal role in the nation's food supply chain. You will ensure timely and safe delivery of products to our customers while representing our company and building lasting relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck for local and long-distance routes, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Engage professionally with customers, vendors, and team members, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
- Conduct thorough safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections, to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Report any safety concerns or necessary repairs promptly.
- Verify and document the accuracy of loaded items and customer invoices.
- Deliver customer orders according to a predetermined schedule and unload products safely.
- Complete all required paperwork related to freight and deliveries accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and loading area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the company’s objectives.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid CDL-A License.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience driving tractor-trailers.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
- Current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to lift and move product cases weighing between 10-90 pounds.
