Commercial Casualty Underwriting Manager

At King's Insurance Staffing, we are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Casualty Production Underwriter to join our Great Lakes team. This individual will be responsible for underwriting and pricing new and renewal commercial casualty business within the excess & surplus (E&S) market. Working closely with producers, this role focuses on soliciting new business, managing renewals, and ensuring underwriting profitability across an assigned regional territory.

• Analyzing individual risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions for complex surplus lines commercial property and casualty policies.
• Developing, analyzing, and evaluating information to identify exposures and make informed underwriting decisions.
• Negotiating with producers/wholesale brokers to drive new business opportunities.
• Buidling and maintaining strong relationships with producers, assisting in client retention and achieving mutual business growth.
• Achieving established production and loss ratio targets for the assigned regional territory.

• $140,000 - $180,000+ annual base salary plus lucrative production bonus

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with 5+ years of experience in commercial casualty underwriting, preferably in the surplus lines/E&S market. The ideal candidate will have production underwriting and/or territory marketing experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
