Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Focus Staff. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures in a timely manner, adhering to established protocols and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements, ensure correct exams are performed, and establish rapport.
  • Instruct patients on the test to be performed and assess their ability to tolerate the exam.
  • Prepare patients for mammography procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting up equipment.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control policies, and radiation protocols.
  • Work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment and report issues to management.
  • Obtain and verify relevant documentation, including requisitions, patient histories, and consent forms.

Requirements:

  • Motivated candidates with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.
  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
  • BSN from an accredited nursing program and proper licensure.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Mammography Tech.
