We are currently in search of a CDL Driver to enhance our logistics operations. This role is based in our Palmyra, PA facility and reports directly to the Logistics Supervisor. The primary responsibility of the CDL Driver is to transport our products regionally using a tractor-trailer, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be the final representative of our company that customers interact with. Adherence to regulations and maintaining organized records is essential. Mechanical aptitude may be beneficial when working alongside maintenance teams. Familiarity with material handling equipment and a willingness to adapt to new technologies are also important. Candidates should have strong mathematical skills for processing bills of lading and understanding customer documentation. The role requires the ability to lift, push, or move items weighing up to 75 pounds consistently, as well as flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough safety inspections of the tractor and trailer before each trip, ensuring all components are in optimal condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of driving and delivery times.
  • Assist with cargo unloading during peak times while ensuring product quality.
  • Follow all traffic safety regulations and exercise caution in challenging conditions.
  • Communicate promptly with management regarding any delays or issues encountered during transport.
  • Verify product counts during loading and unloading to ensure accuracy against shipping documents.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid CDL License - Class A.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a CDL driver with a clean safety record.
  • Successful completion of drug screening and background checks.
