The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the accounts receivable function associated with the IDA's contract billings.

The supervisor ensures accurate receivable records and supports the Corporate Controller in preparation of financial reports related to the account receivable function and general ledger accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages full cycle invoicing process for all contract types (CPFF, FFP and T&M).
  • Establishes consistent billing standards, processes, and templates for A/R staff.
  • Identifies any differences between company and customer records as necessary.
  • Prepares reconciliations of cumulative billings and payments received.
  • Reports on the balances in the monthly Unbilled Receivable report and providing insight into timing differences between billing and revenue recognition.
  • Works with Contract Manager to provide final invoices prior to contract closeout deadlines.
  • Monitors receivable balances including collection activities for contracts.
  • Ensures a system of proper matching of cash receipts to invoices.
  • Participates in financial close and generates reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts related to the accounts receivable function.
  • Prepares and approves all credit memos or voided invoices.
  • Oversees the project setup function in Costpoint to ensure proper creation of projects with the proper project attributes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or related area and five years of experience in government contract billing and collections.
  • Must have experience with Deltek Cost Point, WAWF, Vipers, IPP.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP revenue recognition and FAR Cost Principles for cost allowability.
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly in MS Excel.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
  • US citizenship is required.
