Assistant Manager, Madewell, San Francisco Center

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Madewell, San Francisco Center. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the sales floor, managing payroll, and ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the sales floor and ensure that the right people are in the right place at the right time.
- Manage payroll and ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Observe associate performance and assist if necessary to make a sale.
- Lead fit sessions to enhance product knowledge and ensure that associates are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure that associates capture and create profiles during each transaction to drive customer loyalty.
- Plan brilliant and unique events that support community interests and drive sales.
- Embrace role ownership and be ready to step in for anyone on the management team as needed.
- A high school diploma or equivalent combo of education and experience.
- 2 or more years of experience with similar scope, specialty retail preferred.
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to process information and operate store systems accurately.
- Ability to assist in processing and replenishing and keeping the store looking great.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Adept with technology and apps and familiar with industry-related blogs and feeds.
- Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for product, as well as lift, carry and move at least 40 pounds.
- Ability to regularly move around all store areas and be accessible to customers.
