Position OverviewThe Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients and their families under the supervision of registered nurses (RN) or licensed vocational nurses (LVN). This position emphasizes teamwork and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide compassionate and skilled care to patients as directed by nursing staff.
- Assist in daily living activities and ensure patient comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a certified Nurse Assistant program or active CNA certification is preferred.
- Medical Assistant program completion or first clinical semester in an accredited nursing program is acceptable.
- Certification in Emergency Medical Technician Program or Patient Care Technician training is also valid.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
