Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support to healthcare providers, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Collect and process lab samples, including blood draws and urinalyses.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and test results.
  • Assist with patient education and health promotion initiatives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred.
  • At least 6 months of clinical experience; candidates without certification should have at least 1 year of experience.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
