We are seeking a highly qualified Intervention Specialist to join our team at ACCEL Schools. As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational and behavioral goals of our students, with a focus on those with Individualized Education Programs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement intervention strategies, modifying general education curricula as needed, and assisting students with regular class assignments.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to inform instruction and develop individualized plans.
- Develop and implement behavior improvement plans to support students' social-emotional growth.
- Facilitate Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and develop IEP goals and objectives.
- Work closely with families to communicate students' academic and social-emotional progress.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, such as social events and field trips.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Current state license
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
- Experience working in a full inclusion or co-teaching model
- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
