At Center for Family Guidance, CFG, PC, we are seeking a part-time psychiatrist to join our team. As a part-time psychiatrist, you will provide full range of psychiatric services to assigned patients, including assessment, screening, diagnosis, and treatment. You will also prescribe medication as deemed necessary and conduct medication management. All services will be documented in the patient's electronic medical record.

Responsibilities include analyzing and evaluating patient data and test findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder, prescribing, directing, and administering psychotherapeutic treatments or medications, collaborating with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress, gathering and maintaining patient information and records, examining or conducting laboratory or diagnostic tests on patient, participating in treatment team activities, and chairing the treatment team or designating a chairperson.

Qualifications include being licensed as a psychiatrist in the state of New Jersey or able to obtain licensure, possessing good interpersonal communication and leadership skills, and completing a satisfactory background investigation. ECT certification is preferred.

Physical demands include standing, walking, talking, hearing, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
