  • **Assign Tasks and Provide Guidance:**
  • Assign tasks to histology staff, review their work, and provide guidance to ensure they meet laboratory protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • **Ensure Compliance and Quality:**
  • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate equipment maintenance, and ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • **Collaborate with Other Departments:**
  • Work closely with other departments to optimize workflow, improve outcomes, and enhance overall laboratory performance.

**Requirements:**

  • **Education and Certification:**
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Histotechnologist (HTL) certification is preferred.
  • **Licensure:**
  • NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license.
  • **Skills and Qualities:**
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
