About the Opportunity

THERAPY 2000, a leading provider of pediatric healthcare services, is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in the Commerce area. This exciting opportunity is based in our East Texas division, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients' needs for therapy.
  • Develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders, utilizing your clinical judgment and expertise.
  • Collaborate with patients' caregivers to develop home exercise programs, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Act as a vital member of patients' medical neighborhoods, working closely with various providers and disciplines to deliver high-quality care.
  • Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, and other paperwork as required.
  • Participate in regular meetings with agency personnel to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures, adhering to relevant laws, regulations, and codes of ethics.
Requirements
  • A current/active license to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Texas.
  • An innovative spirit, complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability and flexibility.
  • Ability to use common workplace technology, including laptop computers, email, and web browsers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Experience in a home-health setting, with a focus on delivering high-quality care in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties, such as VitalStim.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
