We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our Banquet Operations team at Spooky Nook Sports. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality dishes for our banquets and concessions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise a team of kitchen staff to ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
- Develop and implement menus for banquets and concessions, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Events team to plan and execute special event menus, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and positive work environment, adhering to all food safety and cleanliness standards.
- Forecast food consumption and requisition inventory to ensure accurate food purchasing and minimize waste.
- Control labor costs through effective scheduling and staff management.
- Interview, hire, and train kitchen team members, ensuring a high-performing and motivated team.
- Establish and maintain PAR levels, ensuring optimal inventory management and minimizing losses.
- Attend BEO meetings to ensure all events are executed as planned, and respond to any guest complaints or service opportunities.
- Assist with the completion of month-end inventory and maintain accurate records of food safety training completions.
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in the culinary industry as a Chef, with a minimum of 2+ years' supervisory experience.
- Dependable transportation to and from work.
- Fluent knowledge of the English language, including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication.
- Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position, with any reasonable accommodations as necessary.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Degree from a Culinary Arts program.
- Ability to distinguish ingredients by taste, smell, or sight.
- Highly dependable with a history of consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Guest-focused/service-oriented, with the ability to see the big picture and impact on the company.
- Demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude towards guests, customers, and fellow employees, with a respectful and professional demeanor.
