MANDATORY WORK EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of five years in Cyber Network Defense (CND) or a master's degree in a relevant field with at least three years of CND experience.
  • Possession of Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) and GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH).
  • Certification in one or more of the following: Certified Intrusion Analyst, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • DoD Information Assurance Technical Level 3 (IAT Level 3) certification required.
  • Foundational Cloud Certification with familiarity in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and its associated regulations.
  • Proficient in the deployment, configuration, and evaluation of industry-standard cyber defense mechanisms, including web content filtering, email security, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Domain Name System (DNS) security, advanced log analysis, network monitoring, packet capture analysis, and firewall management.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related business discipline.

DESIRABLE WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with agency operations (ECMA) or prior military experience, particularly with the Army.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • Must hold an active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, conducting thorough analyses, developing mitigation strategies, and creating cybersecurity solutions to safeguard the U.S. Army's cloud information systems and network assets.
  • Utilizes technical expertise to deliver computer network defense capabilities, ongoing monitoring, technical analysis, situational awareness, and incident response for classified systems and data.
  • Ensures compliance with DoD and Joint Service computer network and communication regulations, safeguarding systems and telecommunications services.
  • Monitors cloud environments for potential security incidents.
  • Conducts comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability evaluations.
