Salary
The estimated weekly salary for this job ranges from $2477 to $2984*, depending on factors related to the facility or applicant. This amount includes wages and expense reimbursement.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for providing patient care with other health team members. Your tasks will include administering medications as ordered, monitoring patients' responses to interventions, and reporting outcomes. You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies. Additional responsibilities may include transporting patients, performing duties assigned by management, and working under close supervision occasionally.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have one to three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in Labor and Delivery nursing. You must have a valid RN license in the state where you will be practicing and BLS certification. Inpatient Obstetric Nursing Certification (RNC-OB) is preferred. You should also possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with various personnel and a professional appearance. Technical and motor skills, such as grasping, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling, and moving about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment, are essential. Mental requirements include being able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, meeting deadlines under pressure, and working without assistance from other personnel. Visual acuity and effective communication are also crucial.
