Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and a favorable driving record.
  • Certified Peace Officer status as established by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Working Conditions

The University Police Officer will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to respond to emergencies and critical situations. The officer will be required to work in a variety of settings, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
