Shuttle Driver Position at VetPride Services

VetPride Services is currently in search of dedicated Shuttle Drivers to facilitate shuttle operations. This role is essential in providing a complimentary transportation service for employees and patients.

Work Location: Pittsburgh VA Medical Center
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, On-call

Compensation: $16.90 per hour | Health & Welfare Fringe Benefit: $4.57

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers with professionalism during arrivals and departures
  • Assist passengers using wheelchairs or walkers
  • Operate the shuttle vehicle safely
  • Adhere to established safety protocols
  • Comply with VA regulations and guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively with team members
  • Conduct regular inspections of the shuttle
  • Ensure the shuttle is kept clean and presentable
  • Report any issues to the Site Supervisor
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills Required
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Dependable attendance and reliability
  • Basic proficiency in English
  • Ability to work independently while following guidelines
  • Basic computer skills
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of driving experience
  • Experience with commercial passenger vehicles is preferred
Licenses and Certifications Needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid PA Commercial Driver's License with P endorsement
  • Current DOT Medical Certificate
