We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Ambassador to join our team at the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) Lobby Welcome Desk. As a Student Ambassador, you will provide exceptional customer service, manage daily operations, and support the administrative team.
Key Responsibilities- Front Desk Operations: Manage email notifications for package arrivals, maintain a clean and organized front desk area, and handle and deliver mail, particularly cold packages and high-priority items.
- Visitor Support: Assist visitors with directions to suites and rooms, coordinate calls for food deliveries, and direct queries to the Lost & Found and specific rooms and suites.
- Administrative Tasks: Sort and distribute mail and packages, assist with various administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and shredding, and run on-campus and off-campus errands as required.
- Event Support: Set up tables and chairs for events, reset furniture in rooms as needed, and help set up catering for events.
- Communication: Be a reliable source of information about the organization and department for visitors, maintain a positive, upbeat, and professional attitude when interacting with others, and greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate location or person.
- Phone and Inquiries: Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with visitors, faculty, and staff.
- Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilities.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25-50 Lbs.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
This is a student assistant position located at the SHSU-COM campus in Conroe, TX. The selected candidate will report to the Office of the Dean and work closely with the administrative team.
